This project consisted of the construction of 28 new Residential lots on Johns Road, Wadalba.

The Challenge

Two existing roads required widening under live traffic. Challenges arose when constructing pavements with the variances of rock and clay in subgrade material. Sewer works proved complex and involved boring under Johns Road.

The Solution

Consultation was made between Byrne Management, The Superintendent, Geotechnical Engineers, and Council authorities to come up with a solution that was both cost-effective and suitable for the ground conditions. Despite these challenges, the project was completed within the agreed timeframe.

Scope of Works:

Site management, including subcontractor management, traffic control implementations & managing all site HSEQ.
Clearing of existing land.
Demolition of existing kerb and gutter, footpath, and road pavements.
Bulk earthworks.
2040m2 of Road pavement construction.
Concrete works including concrete pavement, kerb and gutter, footpaths, laybacks & driveways.
Stormwater drainage infrastructure.
Construction of a Bioretention basin.
Installed water, sewer, NBN, gas & electrical services to all Lots.
Landscaping (re-spreading of topsoil, turfing, street trees and appropriate revegetation).
