This project consisted of the construction of 30 new Residential lots in Warnervale, NSW.

The Challenge

Constructed during the infamous 2022 La-Nina period where the Central Coast recorded one of its wettest years in history. A portion of the existing asbestos water main along Albert Warner Drive required replacement, including 4 connections to the existing main.

The Solution

Byrne Civil Group liaised with the Central Coast Council to minimise the time that local properties would be without water. These works required careful navigation through an extensive number of existing services along the verge, including HV power and medium-pressure gas mains. We conducted a road widening along Albert Warner Drive under arborist supervision to avoid damage to the nearby trees and consulted with affected households where appropriate. A total of 240m of the existing asbestos water main was upgraded to PVC.

Scope of works:

  • Site management, including subcontractor management, traffic control implementations & managing all site HSEQ.
  • Sewer Lead in works through neighbouring properties and roadways.
  • Bulk Earthworks.
  • Road pavement construction.
  • Concrete works including kerb and gutter, footpath & overland flow path
  • Stormwater drainage infrastructure.
  • Installed water, sewer, NBN, gas & electrical services to all Lots.
  • Retaining walls.
  • Sandstone retaining wall with handrails and chain wire fencing.
  • Landscaping (re-spreading of topsoil, turfing, and appropriate revegetation).
